We Need You!!

We are currently looking for members of St. Michael's to serve on the Religious Education Committee. We only meet once a month for about 2 hours. Please consider contacting Pat Castle or Amy Sorenson if you would like to attend a meeting and would consider becoming a member. Thank you.

Our Committee Mission

The Education Committee shall foster a total Christian formation approach to meet the spiritual and educational needs of the St. Michael's community at the different stages of their Catholic faith development. The Committee is responsible for identifying needs, setting goals, deciding specific objectives and designing and evaluating programs.

Our Current Objectives for 2004

1. Evaluate sacramental preparation procedures and how the existing program can be enhanced to help parents and better prepare children.
2. Establish a children's liturgy during rotating masses.
3. Provide materials and literature to assist the volunteers working in the Nursery.
4. Evaluate options for the Family Catechesis Program.
5. Increase the participation of youth in various ministries at St. Michael's (including liturgical and music).
