EASTER

How do we find Jesus? Sometimes we feel as lost as the disciples did after the crucifixion. We feel like them when the storms of disappointment, disillusion and pain come our way. Our faith may waver. The disciples knew this feeling: what about their hopes, their faith, their love for Jesus and all He shared with them in the three years they spent with Him--how could He be dead, and in such an awful way? They were pushed to their limits and so they lost heart, some fell away, some denied Him out of fear of others’ judgment. But look at some of the others. Watch Mary Magdalen:

“The disciples went back home, but
Mary wept and remained standing
outside the tomb. And so it happened
that the woman who stayed behind to
seek Christ was the only one to see
Him. For perseverance is essential to
any good deed, as the voice of truth
tells us. Whoever perseveres to the
end will be saved. "
St. Gregory the Great

The disciples eyes were opened, and they beheld their friend and teacher, alive, risen and triumphant over sin, death, and the world’s indifference. The God of Restoration had done a marvelous thing—and He desires to work this same restoration and resurrection in each of our hearts & lives today.
