| HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE | |
| Passion (Palm)Sunday | Masses at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday
Masses: 8:00 a.m. 10:30 a.m. & 12:00 p.m. Holy Week has as its purpose the remembrance of Christ's Passion beginning with His Messianic entrance into Jerusalem. We shall commemorate this with the blessing and distribution of palms and a simple procession of priest and liturgical ministers. The Gospel of the Passion of the Lord is read in parts by priest and lay readers. |
| Monday | Mass at 9:00 am in the small church. Later in the day the old oils are burned and the oil stocks are cleaned. The Mass of Chrism will be at 7:30 p.m. at Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, where it is concelebrated by the Bishop and his clergy as a sign of unity and communion. The parish oil stocks are filled with the newly blessed oils (oil of catechumens, sacred chrism, and oil of the sick). |
| Tuesday | Mass at 9:00 am in the small church. |
| Wednesday | Mass at 9:00 am in the small church. |
| EASTER TRIDUUM | |
| Holy Thursday | Mass of the Lord's Supper, 7:30 PM in the large church with the washing of the feet and the transfer of the Blessed Sacrament to the chapel of reposition for adoration. Church doors will be left unlocked until midnight for your eucharistic adoration in the chapel of reposition. |
| Good Friday | Day of fast and abstinence. |
| Holy Saturday | The Easter Vigil Mass, 7:30 PM in the large church. The celebration consists of a Service of Light, Liturgy of the Word, the Sacraments of Initiation, Renewal of Baptismal Promises, and Holy Communion. |
| EASTER SUNDAY | Masses at 8:00 AM, 10:30 AM in the large church and in the Multipurpose Hall and 12:00 PM. After the homily, there is the Renewal of Baptismal Promises. Your sacrificial gift in the Offertory and in the second special collection would be beneficial and deeply appreciated. The Paschal Candle a symbol of the presence of the risen Christ among the people of God, will remain in the sanctuary near the alter or ambo through Vespers on Pentecost Sunday. The nursery, on Easter Sunday at 10:30 am Mass will not be open to permit our volunteers time with their families. |
